One of our esteemed clients in the retail domain is actively looking for a
QA Automation Test Engineer responsible for continuously designing, developing, programming, and deploying new testing software to automate the testing process and reduce human efforts. Location: Local to Columbus or someone who will start on site from day 1Remote: Day 1 onsiteWork Authorization: GCs, EADs, H1 TransferLong Term Contract Resource needs to work onsite in the testing lab whenever needed (hybrid model)Looking for someone to start ASAPRoles & Responsibilities:- Develops test plans and test cases.
- Develops automated tests.
- Performs manual and automated tests for software functionality, installation, and usability.
- Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Manages bugs and error tracking. Documents and presents test results to management.
- Coordinates and prioritizes testing of application modifications and bug fixes.
- Works with multiple development teams and software projects.
- Experience with a test tracking software package is desired Years of Experience: 5-10 Years
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related
- Previous work experience as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or relevant position in the IT department
- Complete understanding of automation systems and databases
- Basic knowledge of scripting and other related procedures
- Expertise in automation testing tools like Selenium, Katalon Studio, and Cucumber
- Understanding of testing protocols
- Familiarity with the software development process
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to manage project deadlines
- Good time management and organizational skills
