Software Engineer Oracle DBA

Job Title: Software Engineer - Oracle DBADuration : 6 months CTHLocation: Frisco TX.

• Mentoring Team Members and Leading efforts of a Oracle DBA team
• Always-On; Active/Active; “99.9999” high volume transaction processing systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of unique management needs of OLTP vs. OLAP data systems
• All facets of managing Oracle 12c (and greater) multi-node systems; inclusive of ODA and bare metal installations
• Ability to monitor database/server performance; performance tune databases and queries
• Must be able to build and execute queries, scripts
• Common knowledge and adherence to best practices for changes to systems; i.e. Change Control Process
• High Security, encryption, best practices and training; PII, PCI environments a plus
• First responder to Production SEV1 Incidents
• Creating documentation; Run Books, Data Flows, Diagrams
• Demonstrated abilities with Oracle and Third-Party based Applications to facilitate Backups, Replication, Management of Databases/Servers – Security, Tuning Packages and Golden Gate
• Accustomed to effective, regular communication to Technology Teams and Sr. Leadership
• Ability to present, debate and execute recommendations for system improvements
• Interface with all organizational levels for training, presentations and recommendations
