As a member of the Infotainment and Connected Vehicle Engineering Team, the Senior Engineer of Software Quality (SEQ) is responsible to test and validate the vehicle Infotainment and Connected Vehicle systems software. This includes component, sub-system and system level validation in support of program and software baseline release milestones. The SEQ executes the test and validation plan for the overall software quality of the Infotainment System and backend connected applications. The Senior Engineer of Software Quality reports to the Manager of Software Quality.
  • • Execute established best practices in software testing, identification and/or developing test tools, and other software quality related processes.
  • • Develop software test case development and coordinate execution with module teams to meet program feature functionality requirements, functional safety, regulatory validation and bug fixes in support of vehicle development milestones and base line software releases
  • • Builds scalable processes that can grow with the company
  • • Develop DVP&R requirements and bench/ HIL/ vehicle test cases to enable successful
  • • component, system and vehicle validation at each stage of vehicle development.
  • • Create test cases based on technical specifications
  • • Create test plans based on content and timing for each vehicle software integration level (BL) and an overall
  • • Document issues, report test status, generate visibility into the status of the validation
  • • Design, develop, and unit test mobile and embedded applications in accordance with current state of the art best practices
  • • Review and improve on existing test systems, making use of new technologies and methodologies.
  • • Leads and collaborates with internal cross functional teams, end users, and third-party contacts to design, develop, document and maintain test and validation deliverables for various projects
  • • Establish and maintain working relationships with cross functional team members across the technology organization.
  • • Drives process change and improvement to increase efficiency and quality
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Requirements
  • • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • • 5+ Years in Software Quality Assurance Management
  • • Understands and has implemented Software QA within Agile Development Teams
  • • Has passion for delivering products that customers know they can depend on
  • • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, team environment
  • • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • •

    Automotive industry development experience
  • •

    Vehicle infotainment system knowledge

Master's Degree or higher lever technical degree
