Director of Software Engineering

Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to join a rapidly growing, well established Financial Services company in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of programming experience with Java, Go or Node.js and experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts Responsibilities of the Director of Software Engineering include: • Leverage experience to build cross-cutting security applications, platforms, and tooling that enable the organization to bring a security mindset into everyday operations. • Provide leadership and guidance to security engineering and developer peers • Leave a lasting impact on our next-generation cloud security • Build tooling and platforms used by thousands of applications and developers • Innovate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle • Employ problem solving skills to analyze sophisticated engineering challengesRequirements of the Director of Software Engineering include: • 9+ years of programming experience in Java, Node.js, Go, or comparable • Experience with securing cloud providers and platforms such as AWS and Azure • Experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts such as Terraform and CloudFormation • Kubernetes operations and application delivery knowledge • Passion for CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices to increase delivery velocity • Eagerness to learn and master new technologies • Strong written and verbal communication skills • A cloud security mindset focused on zero trust and least privilegeCompensation for the Director of Software Engineering: • Salary Range: $155,000 - $165,000/annually with a 30% bonus, and internal shares • Industry leading benefits package including a strong 401K match • No relocation assistance available. • No 3 rd party candidates.Keywords: Security, Node, Java, Go, AWS, Azue, Cloud, IaaC, Development, Build, Leadership
