Ability to work during Hawaii time zone.Additional Skills Preferred(Not Required) communication, presenting skills, work in team environment.Job duties: Perform accounting, reporting and financial analysis as assigned for the enterprise.This role is responsible for complex and multifunctional areas of financial analysis and accounting, maintaining proper accounting and financial control through reconciliations and analytical analysis related to assigned functional areas.Actively participate and ensure timely and accurate financial statement reporting for Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), tax and other regulatory reporting.Conduct independent accounting-based research and complex analytical projects. Supports internal and external auditsDevelop and maintain working relationships with operational departments and external vendors.May supervise accounting staff. Supports the budget process. If assigned to work on federal contracts, this role may be required to undergo and pass a security background clearance per federal government regulationsAdditional Job DetailsParticipates in and implements monthly financial close, prepare and supervises the assignments of the staff accountants to include general ledger, construction-in-process (CIP), fixed assets and leases. Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly management financial reporting package, regulatory reporting and/or executive summary schedules.Experience Level: BA in Accounting or Finance plus minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience. Uses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issues including the maintenance of internal controls. Preference for both US GAAP and Statutory experience.Day to Day: Additional Requirements:• Highly developed knowledge of finance theories such as present values theory/cash flow analysis and accounting principles.• Able to formulate finance study designs and prepare and conduct professional presentations.• Advanced proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications, including advanced functions such as graphics, pivot tables, macros and database management.• Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environmentEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
