Canopy by Hilton Baltimore | Harbor Point Hotel is looking for bright talent to model Hilton'svision: "To fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality."

Position Summary:

Responsible for the storage and sanitation of all china, silverware and glassware in the hotel.

Essential Functions:

1. Operate dish washing machines.

2. Ensure dishwasher temperature is within the specified range and the chemicals are properly connected to the machine.

3. Properly clean and disinfect the dish washing machine in the evening.

4. Sweep and mop floors. Check for broken items on the floor and west areas that may be hazardous and removes the hazard.

5. Clean walls, table, racks, sink floor mats and disposal areas.

6. Clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, and ceiling vents

7. Empty all trashcans.

8. Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.

9. Understand and use safety procedures when using all equipment. Understands chemical hazards and follows safety procedures when using chemicals, chemical compounds and cleaning products.

10. Know correct temperature for washing, rinsing, and pre-soaking of all pots, pans, utensils, plates, and glasses.

11. Receive deliveries and place stock items in the proper area.

12. Follow proper sanitation procedures for sanitizing items that are unable to be washed with the dishwasher.

13. Maintain cleanliness of the loading dock and dumster area.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.

- The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to stand for a long period of time.

- Ability to lift heavy objects.
