Exp. Cook - Private Day School - M-F Days - $17-$21/hr, DOE & benefits

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking full-time experienced Cooks for a private day school in Danvers, MA. This follows a regular school schedule, so weekends, holidays and summers are off, other than catering events (with paid overtime).

Our team here works closely to create exceptional dining experiences, and we are looking for someone eager to work with others cheerfully and energetically. SAGE provides uniforms, weekly pay, a full range of benefits, continuous training, and room to grow in your career.

You need to read and execute menus, to be well-versed in food safety (Servsafe a plus!) and to work neatly and cleanly. Everyone interacts with the students, faculty, and staff so great customer service is required.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday

6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Summers off

Overtime available for catering events with prior notice

Pay Type:

$17.00 -$21.00 Hourly

What you'll do:

Produce assigned hot and cold foods in a timely and accurate manner.

Provide meals that consistently exceed our guests’ expectations.

Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.

Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile.

Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes.

Clean all work areas, equipment, and customer service areas on an ongoing basis.

Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always. (HACCP).

Adhere to SAGE’s safety and allergy prevention policies.

Assist in training new Cooks and culinary Team Members.

Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold.

What you'll need:

Experience with cooking strongly preferred.

Ability to set up a serving/action station.

Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.

Experience in customer service strongly preferred.

Ability to interact with community and team in a cheerful and friendly manner.

ServSafe® certification preferred, but not required.
