Myers Produce: Driver & Warehouse Crew

Myers Produce is a regional distributor, transporting fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, cheese, and grains from farms in the Northeast to wholesale customers in NYC, Boston, and throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont. We are currently hiring for a Full-Time position as a Driver and member of our Warehouse Crew, based in Hadley, Massachusetts.

Our delivery routes involve driving a 22-ft box truck, 16-ft box truck, or transit van from our warehouse in Hadley to destinations in NYC, Boston, and Vermont. Our warehouse shifts include working with a crew of 3-4 people to label and palletize boxes for trucks headed out on delivery that same day and the following day. We strive to be productive and to enjoy the work that we do together. Our culture is rooted in positive feedback and we encourage all of our team members to offer their ideas on how to make things work better for the company, the employees, and our customers.

This position would generally include 2 weekly delivery routes and 2 weekly warehouse shifts, for a total of approximately 35-40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate for this position:

- Has experience driving an 16-ft (or larger) box truck in urban areas (or has experience driving slightly smaller trucks and is willing to be trained!)

- Is observant, has excellent attention to detail

- Adapts well to the changes and surprises that are inevitable in our line of work

- Enjoys problem-solving

- Understands how critical their role is to Myers Produce

- Likes physical work, is able to lift 40-50 lb boxes

- Is interested in our mission

- Has a smartphone (not required, but it's helpful).

Requirements:

Clean and valid driver's license

CDL is welcome but not required
