The Quabbin Regional School District is seeking a School Nutrition Supervisor for the 2022-23 school year.
Duties include:
1. Plan, coordinate, assign, oversee, and participate as required in preparation, cooking, serving of food and cleaning;
2. Maintain consistency in food preparation and service to students and school employees;
3. Order cafeteria supplies and food as needed;
4. Set up monies for cash registers, count cash received, prepare deposits, and deposits money in bank;
5. Supervise and participates in cleaning and sanitation in the kitchen;
6. Supervises and instructs kitchen personnel in the proper and efficient use of all equipment while maintaining the highest level of safety & cleanliness;
7 .Plan and direct the preparation and serving of all food in the cafeteria, and determines the quantities of each food to be prepared
8 .Determine time and sequence of cooking operations to meet meal serving deadlines (e.g., breakfast, lunch). Batch cooking is required.
9. Follow menus & recipes developed by the Director without deviation and assure the proper portion sizes and components of the National School Lunch Program are met.
10.Maintain accurate records including, but not limited to: Production Records, Temperature Logs, Sanitation Logs, Attendance Reports, Pay Requests, and Inventory
11. Implement and maintain mandated merchandising programs, appropriate and timely seasonal decor, and promotions. Including daily menu signs, line ID's, electronic signage and other marketing initiatives.
12 .Participate in unit meeting, in-service training, workshops, etc;
13. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Food and Nutritional Services.
6.5 hours per day - 7:30am-2:00pm
Position is based on School Calendar + 5 days prior to students, 1 training day in October and 2 day after students SY2022-2023 187+ days

Salary in accordance with collective bargaining agreement - $17.62-$18.89
