Foxfire Mountain House, located in Mt. Tremper, NY is one of the top inns of the Catskills and is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our existing kitchen team. Foxfire is a leader in the ever-growing food scene in the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains. We are continuously evolving our culinary program and are looking for a creative team member to help us with our vision. - The ability to cook creatively and be passionate about your craft.

- An insatiable appetite to stay current on industry changes and trends to ensure our dining program is compelling and thought provoking.

- The ability to work within an existing team while providing leadership.

- The skills to oversee prep and execute a la carte dinner service for hotel guests and the dining public in addition to catered events for up to 125 guests during our May-October event season. We're extremely proud to have a fully booked 2022 event season and are nearly booked for 2023.

- Strong budgeting skills and the ability to make wise financial decisions.

- A need to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing, seasonal menus for both our restaurant and on-site events.

- Passion for detail, consistency, and timing.

- A desire to learn, grow and evolve as a culinary professional.

- Well-honed culinary skills in a broad section of disciplines.

- Stringent kitchen sanitization and organization practices.

- Strong kitchen inventory and ordering experience.

- The strength & experience to work smart and hard, but not long. - The desire to work with a tech-savvy team that uses Google Suite to ensure clear communication between departments.
