Line Cook - Breakfast

The Shandaken Inn is now hiring for a AM line cook position!

Shandaken Inn is a recently renovated, boutique Bed and Breakfast seeking a line cook to join our team. With the Inn opening its doors at the end of 2019, it has already hosted world-renowned media outlets like Goop, Elle, and Travel + Leisure.

The Inn is looking for a dedicated professional who is a motivated food enthusiast, team player in a team focused environment, enjoys working in a creative environment, and is calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner

Follow recipes and presentation specifications

Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Maintain a clean working station while adhering to health & safety standards

Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment

Restock items as needed throughout the shift

Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards

Experience/ Requirements

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Familiar with the industry's best practices

Ability to work and collaborate with servers, bar and kitchen staff

Excellent communication skills

Detail-oriented, organized and thrives under pressure

Flexible hours

Part-time hours: 15 per week

Job Type: Morning shifts with Part-time/Full-Time/Seasonal work
