We use a combination of big-data analytics, machine learning, and web applications to detect and visualize threats so our security analysts can act quickly. In this role you will be hands-on coaching your team of engineers through the full development life cycle including proof of concept, architecture design, data engineering, software development/coding, and deployment. - Coach, mentor, and lead the developers on your team to help them unlock their potential and collaborate effectively as part of an Agile team.
- Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work with a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Utilize programming languages like Scala, Python and Open Source RDBMS and Cloud based data warehousing services such as Snowflake
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community
- Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
- Use automated testing and conduct code reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 9 years of experience in application development
- At least 4 years of experience in big data technologies (Cassandra, Accumulo, HBase, Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, AVRO, MongoDB, Zookeeper)
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- At least 1 year of experience with public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 1 year of experience with Agile engineering practices
- At least 3 years of experience in scripting (Python, Perl, JavaScript, Shell)
- Master's Degree
- 10+ years of experience in application development
- 3+ year experience working on streaming data applications (Spark Streaming, Kafka, Kinesis, and Flink
- 2+ years of experience with Ansible / Terraform
- 3+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices
- 3+ years in-depth experience with the Hadoop stack (MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Hbase)
- 5+ years of experience developing software solutions to solve complex business problems
- 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
