As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.Team Info: The Finance Tech - Analyze team is looking for innovative Engineers to play a key role in building integrated technology that continuously modernizes Capital One's Finance and Accounting user experience and data ecosystem. We build applications and features that align with Capital One's Enterprise Data and Machine Learning (EDML) vision. The Finance Platform - Analyze team is responsible for applications and data pipelines that empowers how we operate as a business. We pride ourselves on owning the end-to-end experience of developing in-house solutions and owning our technology operations, devops. This is a unique software engineering experience that involves cross team collaboration and touches data engineering and devops concepts. - Design and implement technology solutions utilizing programming languages like Angular, JavaScript, Java, Spring-boot, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, MySQL, and Python, Open Source RDBMS databases, DevOps, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
- Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
- Introduce, influence, and adopt new technologies and innovations as applicable with the team to help build resilient and high-quality software
- Partner with product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
- Innovate in creating new solutions while being forward-thinking with modernizing existing solutions
- Learn, develop, and grow professionally through our wide array of learning platforms, opportunities and intentional culture committees.
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, MySQL, Python, or Angular
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
- 1+ years of experience working closely with Product managers and team to refine feature specifications, design and engineer software solutions, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences
- 1+ years of experience providing technical guidance on delivering customer-focused and leading-edge solutions
- Strong communication skills; sharing technical insight to lead and influence engineers and customers
