Job Description A multi-disciplinary startup located in San Diego is focused on innovating genetic analysis tools for the research and clinical markets. The company's technology will broaden the end user experience through improved data quality and simplified workflows to benefit discoveries and diagnosis in healthcare. This is a full-time position. The company is looking to hire an experienced lead UX/UI Designer to join the Software Product Design team. If you are a UX/UI Designer, this would be a great role to provide the best designs and user experience possible. Your responsibilities will be to define, guide, and verify seamless end-user experiences. In addition, to help design a complete sequencing solution with the necessary software interfaces to the chemistry, hardware, manufacturing, and downstream analysis systems. The company prefers candidates that would be able to work onsite, however, 100% remote is okay but for the first 2 weeks you would need to be onsite. Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience building and managing a team of designer or a strong track record and references
  • Expert user of Sketch or Figma, Invision, Zepplin, and other design applications to rapidly product high-fidelity prototypes
  • Experience designing for react applications, with working knowledge of material-UI
  • Experience designing for touch screen applications, responsive web applications, and medical or life science devices
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with 5-10 years in the Life Science Industry
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
