Description This is a fulltime Desktop support role based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to serve as a primary point of contact for end-users for support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes troubleshooting all end-user computing issues, hardware repairs, provisioning new desktops & laptops, etc.Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Serves as a responder to help desk requests and all other IT-related issues;•Manages the IT help desk ticketing queue, prioritizing user requests and issues;• Ability to reprioritize incoming issues based on impact, scope, and risk to the business while responding appropriately, focusing on issue resolution and communication;• Supports users located at four offices via desk-side, in-person and remote;• Interfaces with the corporate office to provide timely set up of new users as well as quick turnaround for terminations, when necessary exercising discretion and respect for confidentiality• Install and configure new and existing desktops/laptops, VoIP phones, Smart Phones, printers, LCDs, projectors, etc. Supports users with issues relative to these installations;• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues, LAN/WAN connectivity issues, virus, and malware infections;• Documents frequent issues and fixes in the help desk self-service documentation library;• Support executive leadership and their unique technology support needs;•Perform other job-related duties as assigned Requirements Interviews are currently being conducted, for immediate consideration please applyThe successful Desktop support tech will have:• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;• 2+ years experience administering Help Desk ticketing systems with metrics collection and reporting for assessment of inefficiencies and areas for continual improvement;• 2+ years of experience supporting end-user help desk needs;• 2+ years of experience configuring and supporting Windows 10 endpoints;• 2+ years of experience supporting MS Office 2013/2016/365;• 2+ years of experience supporting cloud-based services, Salesforce, Atlassian, etc. with experience administering users, groups, and permissions;• 2+ years of experience working with endpoint management AV/Malware solutions such as ESET & Crowdstrike;• Proficient knowledge of networking technologies (LAN, WAN, Wireless);• Experience building and deploying new OS images;• Experience creating deployment packages to update end-user software (e.g., browsers, plugins, Adobe applications, etc.);• Familiarity with system administration experience in a windows environment - provisioning new users in active directory, desktop patch management, etc.;•Strong commitment to customer service with the ability to understand end-user perspective and business necessity;• Excellent troubleshooting and investigative skills.Must enjoy challenges, ask targeted questions, and take an innovative approach to solve problems.• Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities with a positive and flexible attitude while maintaining quality results;• Excellent communication skills, proactively providing status updates to end-users, setting expectations, and meeting them;• Must be self-motivated, be able to work independently, and take ownership of tasks and projects;• Ability to lift and move IT equipment and other related hardware up to 50 pounds;•Ability to work non-traditional hours to support open enrollment (six week a year) as needed during a few months of the year (eg noon-8 instead of 9-5).Background required prior to employment.
