As a Senior Network Engineer, you will apply industry best practices to implement and maintain client's network infrastructure. In this role, you will utilize tools to accurately monitor and diagnose performance issues on the network. You will also directly communicate with business units to identify needs and assist in the planning and design of solutions.Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues
  • Collaborates with business units to plan, design, and implement a resilient network production environment
  • Monitor logs and reports to identify potential issues
  • Research and remain up to date on industry changes to assist in evaluating and making recommendations to select equipment, services, vendors, and new technology to meet business needs
  • Automate repetitive or critical tasks when feasible
  • Collaborate with project managers and business product owners to define scope and project parameters for new efforts
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of network design best practices in an "always on" network and design appropriate redundancy for equipment, circuit connectivity and power
  • Demonstrate knowledge of information security best practices pertaining to network administration
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Travel on company business to locations that support network infrastructure and occasionally for training
  • Respond to issues outside normal business hours, as needed to accomplish work objectives
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, identify problems and challenges, assess potential solutions, and draw sound conclusions while acquiring buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Demonstrate effective time and project management skills to meet exacting deadlines
  • Enthusiastically embrace, support, and model the company's values and mission
  • Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience required
  • 5 +years' work experience with advanced TCPIP troubleshooting, required
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Ruby, Perl, etc). or network automation (AWX, Ansible, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with Cisco Network hardware and software preferred
  • Participation in a tiered on-call rotation for a 24/7 network required
