Medium & Heavy Duty Truck Parts Department Manager (Albany)

Job Description:

Albany Truck Sales is a medium and heavy duty truck dealership in Albany, New York, looking for a Parts Department Manager. We specialize in parts sales and deliveries, along with supporting our truck sales, service, rentals and leases. We are looking for an experienced person who understands the medium and heavy duty truck industry. The Parts Manager will be responsible for our Albany location, while also working with our other branches.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Supervise and direct employees to provide the best customer service

Position requires working Monday-Friday, with a rotational Saturday shift

Train employees in computer programs, customer service, phone service, and attention to detail

Schedule employees to cover department needs

Complete annual reviews, disciplinary reviews, and other employee actions as needed

Meet and exceed sales goals as established to ensure continued department profitability

Provide parts support to our Service Department

Maintain a clean and well organized environment

Work with Inventory Manager to maintain stock, control inventory and stay current on parts returns

Contact customers and prospective customers to earn repeat and new business

Work with management to understand company goals and company mission

Interview prospective candidates

Reports directly to the Parts Operations Manager

Qualifications:

Medium and Heavy Duty truck parts experience preferred

Computer skills and ability to navigate web-based catalogs and resources

Great communication and verbal skills a must

Positive, professional, dependable and punctual

HS Diploma/GED

Ability to pass pre-hire requirements for MVR clean driving report and drug test
