Job Description An ed tech company that works with higher education institutions is hiring Mid Level Java developers to join a tight-knit group of four engineers. You'll work on a custom-built app used by students. They currently serve more than 10 million of the 18 million students in US higher education, and have set the standard the intersection between education and technology. You'll work on a highly collaborative team where you'll have ample opportunities to learn and grow. You'll help move this application to a microservices, cloud environment. You'll use Java and REST, Spring, Groovy, MongoDB. Experience with Spring Boot for microservices and AWS are a huge plus, but an eagerness to learn are more important. - 3+ years software engineering experience using Java 8 or higher
- Experience building REST APIs
- Experience using Spring, Hibernate, and/or Groovy
- Experience using JavaScript and Angular not a must, but must be willing to use occasionally
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OCI, PCF
- Experience working in a microservices environment
