Job DetailsProvide innovative process and technology solutions to support the sale, design, and manufacturability of custom capital high-temperature processing equipment, the associated peripherals, and systems.
  • Interact with Sales to understand & evaluate client specifications/requirements.
  • Coordinate with sales to prepare proposals inclusive of all necessary specifications/information.
  • Conceptualize designs and develop innovative solutions to enhance existing in-house technology.
  • Provide the coordination between Sales, Applications, and Engineering to accommodate customer specifications and provide technical solutions.
  • Utilize available software-based tools for modeling, thermodynamic and thermo- mechanical analysis.
  • Develop new analytical methods by applying or extending software-based tools.
  • Use in-house design programs to define the mass throughput, thermal requirements, and overall equipment dimensions.
  • Perform heat and material balance calculations.
  • Create and adjust drawings as needed to ensure conformity with intended scopes of supply.
  • Support PFD and P&ID requirements for systems-based projects.
  • Work with outside vendors to establish ancillary equipment requirements for systems-based projects.
  • Understand client control requirements and be capable of defining the PLC/DCS platform requirements to integrate a furnace-based system fully.
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechanical inclination or experience working with complex equipment
  • Process modeling background - experience with CFD/FEA analysis (academic specialization or concentration in this area)
  • Good understanding of mass & heat balance, heat transfer, high-temperature materials, and equipment sizing principles.
  • Knowledge of PFD and P&ID principles.
