Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently looking for a Missile and Weapons Systems Senior System Safety Engineer join their team in Saint Charles, MO or Huntsville, AL.Position Responsibilities:
- Lead in evaluating customer/operational needs and requirements specifications to develop safety requirements, constraints, and operating limits
- Develop/Maintain/Support System Safety Program Plans (SSPP), as required
- Perform/Support a variety of hazard analyses across the full product life cycle, with emphasis on test, to include Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Operating and Support Hazard Analysis (O&SHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), and Software Safety Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis
- Review engineering design specifications, test and manufacturing operations, change proposals, deficiency reports, and deviation/waiver requests for potential safety impacts
- Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and root cause/corrective action analyses
- Interface with customer and program subject matter experts
- Prepare presentations, analyses, and reports for government/customer safety boards, program design reviews, and test/mission readiness reviews
- Lead in developing proposals, work statements, and specifications affecting system safety engineering scope and budget.
- Deliver oral and written system safety and risk presentations to peers, program management, senior leadership, customer, and regulatory agencies.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate well, lead, and work within a team environment with a focus on first time quality.
- Proficient in default Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 10+ years of Systems Safety, Systems Engineering, and/or Product Design experience
- Active US Secret Clearance or higher
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Support Analysis on DOD weapons systems
