Northwest MS Community College is seeking a System Analyst. This position is a 12-month salary exempt reporting to the The System Administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS:Associate Degree required. Intermediate/Advanced ability to configure Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware, Exchange on-premise and online, M365, Azure AD, Microsoft Licensing, Group Policy, and print servers. Experience with Windows 10 operating systems and Microsoft Office. Active Directory knowledge and experience. Experience with Microsoft SCCM, VMware App Volumes and VMware Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) and Veeam Backup software a plus. Must be familiar with the day-to-day activities of an IT Network Support department and have the passion to seek and obtain the knowledge to provide support in a VMware environment as well as the desktop and laptop environment. Must have a willingness to learn, explore and seek out new technologies to assist the functions of the Network Support Department. Must have fluent troubleshooting skills, ability to plan, and communicate clearly and politely with those requesting help. A minimum of two years previous work experience in the information technology field utilizing the qualifications listed above required.

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:PowerShell experience is a desired skill that is incorporated frequently in our environment. Experience in an education Information Technology environment a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
  • Assist in solving hardware, software, network and communications related problems in a network environment, thin clients or physical machines.
  • Put into practice commonly used concepts, practices and procedures relative to VDI and assist in the coordination and engineering of day to day activities as well as upgrades.
  • Provide support for system issues.
  • Responsible for assisting the Systems Administrator in maintenance procedures, and documentation relating to the VMware virtual environment.
  • All other duties assigned by the Systems Administrator.
