RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Engineer - Cloud in Phoenix, AZ.Summary:Reporting to the Global Hosting Manager (under Infrastructure and Operations), the IT Engineer serves as the enterprise cloud & hybrid computing subject matter expert to provide engineering (plan/build) and support (run) for a cost-effective, reliable, secure, and scalable global infrastructure. You will also provide leadership in the design and strategy of the hosting environment to meet the current and future business requirements. The IT Engineer will collaborate with other architects (Enterprise, Network, Application, Digital workplace, Security, and Information) and align the hosting architecture to the Enterprise architecture.Responsibilities: IT Engineer will define, design, and implement cloud-based and hybrid (mix of cloud & on-premise) based infrastructure solutions that includes both virtualized compute and storage Define, design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions that span the cloud and on-premise Install, configure, implement, and support Windows servers including management of user/group accounts & policies, integration to Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services Manage the patching regime of all systems Manage the global hosting asset/inventory and perform lifecycle planning and execution As a IT Engineer, you will manage monitoring systems such as SCOM or equivalent Manage other hosting related technologies such as proxy/web filtering, load balancers, VDI, Veeam backup and replication solutions, and so forth Provide ongoing support (level 3) and troubleshooting for the hosting team Create and review monthly operations reports Write automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) Ensure all solutions comply to corporate security policies and standardsREQUIREMENTS: Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent Certified MCSE on Windows core infrastructure Certified Microsoft Azure Solution Architect is an advantage Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the design, build and support of a global infrastructureStrong working knowledge of the following: Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services Windows server OS Hyper V and/or VMware Hyper-converged infrastructure platforms (Nutanix, Dell) Microsoft Clustering Veeam backup and replication Proxy, Reverse Proxy, Load balancers SCOM, SCCM Certificate management VDI (Horizon) Microsoft Direct AccessGood working knowledge of the following: Skype/Teams Networking (e.g., routing, switching, firewall security) Identity Access Management (IAM) Multi-function Authentication (MFA) System hardening guidelines (e.g., CIS, NIST) Good at handling vendors in an outsourced environment; Be able to guide and provide coaching to them as needed Flexible with working off-hours, weekends, and holidays as well as to participate in on-call rotation and escalationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
