Cloud Architect - AWS and Kubernetes

Architect will work closely with Cloud and VMware architecture peers across Dish to ensure that wireless projects and new initiatives are resilient and secured in accordance with industry principles and standards. Job Description:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree; six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Building an enterprise-wide cloud platform that will be adopted by engineering teams across various business units within the client.
• Enabling the core platform services for our organization to consume – AWS, Kubernetes, service discovery, private cloud, etc.

• Highly motivated, driven & hard working
• Not afraid to fail
• A true believer in cloud native, hybrid cloud and continuous deployment
• Able to visualize, design and implement platform solutions and tools at the enterprise level
• Comfortable with scripting & using GitOps framework
• Provide guidance to engineering teams on development standards, automation, and tools
• Knowledge of emerging technologies - curious to experiment and build proof of concepts
• Able to work independently and clearly present results

• Experienced working with CI/CD in the enterprise

• A team player. We have a great group of diverse folks working together in harmony. Big egos and “super heroes” need not apply.

• Experience architecting and building Kubernetes based platforms across AWS, and/or VMWare
• Experience work in regulated environments - PCI and CPNI in particular
• Able to lead by example - we are looking for folks that can design and build. Hands on experience is a key to success
