Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Network Engineer in Anchorage, Alaska (AK).Responsibilities include: Provide senior level support to monitor, design, troubleshoot, install, configure, implement, document, train the Agency's network monitoring and management tools Senior Network Engineer will provide tool optimization recommendations and assist with establishing setup monitoring that simulates the user expectance for critical applications Provide monitoring for all critical Agency enterprise assets to include network equipment, servers, and key end user devices that support a customer base of approximately 10,000 users Serve as a technical liaison between network operations and various work centers Senior Network Engineer will support root cause analysis of all major outages, monitoring of key performance indicators for the network, and outage resolution and maintenance coordination at the Tier 1 through 2 levels May be subject to approximately two after hour calls per weekREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT related discipline Minimum of 8140/8570 IAT II and SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) certification required 8+ years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity 3+ years of experience in network configuration management in a classified environment Experience in SolarWinds design, deployment, and maintenance Experience in network monitoring at the enterprise level to include WAN, LAN, hardware, and applications across multiple networksKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
