If you answered "yes," then read on!At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position.This position does not offer relocation assistance.Job Summary There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformity to reporting and procedural standards. Specific responsibilities include:• This role is also responsible for maintaining Dominion Energy's operating leases through the LeaseQuery system. •Conduct moderately complex assignments involving accounting projects and the day to day maintenance of a general ledger. •Identify inconsistencies and problems and communicate them to management. •Perform appropriate accounting controls. •Participate in month-end closing, quarterly and year-end financial reporting activities. •Routinely interact with internal and external customers. •Perform various work assignments under limited supervision. •Performs other duties as requested or assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Accountant: 2-4 years of general accounting experience or 1 year of experience working in public accounting. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.Associate Accountant: 0-2 years of general accounting experienceSpecific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:•Working knowledge of U.S. General Accounting Principles (GAAP), practices and procedures •Experience with lease accounting is preferred but not required •Strong computer skills including Excel •Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills •Good analytical skills •Good organizational skills •Ability to work independently and as a member of a team The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined above. •Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
