Remote Sr. DevOps Automation Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing global company in Plano, TX is seeking a Remote Senior DevOps Automation Software Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. This company offers competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, stock/RSU's, etc. This position is 100% Remote.Key Tasks: Promotes, documents, and implements systems infrastructure best practices, building tools that allow the department to develop and deploy sites/software Encompass both quality assurance and continuous site/software testing Python programming Develop automated tests Will code and develop automation, configuration, and application performance management tools Mentorship role to the team, constantly promoting improvement in their professional skills and readying them for the occupation of his position in the future Works with the team to improving health and performance issues of the businesses sites/software systems Collaborates with the quality assurance department in creating solution designs, capacity planning, and performance optimization Works alongside senior engineering departmental leadership in deploying sites/softwareREQUIREMENTS: BS degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field 5+ years in software development with at least 2 years of working experience in a DevOps capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment Demonstrate skill working with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, TestComplete and TestRail Strong Python skills is required Has experience developing automated tests, Priority should be given to people who have worked with TestComplete (preferred), Gitlab (preferred), Jenkins, or GitHub test automation Demonstrate experience in writing code and have experience in the automation, configuration, and application performance management tools Excellent understanding of accepted DevOps principles Knowledge in any of the following is a plus: PowerShell, Bash, Java, Ruby, Command Line, and Selenium Proficient in the workings of Cloud Service Providers and be highly experienced in monitoring systems such as Riemann, Sensu, Graphite, StatsD, among others is preferred Experience in enterprise network technologies as well as experience working in a large database operation environment Experience in supporting scalable architectures and have demonstrate an understanding of supporting network protocols such as HTTP and DNSThe following items are nice to haves: Good general knowledge of computers Knowledge in machine learning, big data, statistics, stream processing as well as experience building data processing systems is a plus Some knowledge of computer networks Knowledge of TCP, UDP, DNS and DHCP would be ideal Has some experience with Azure Cloud DevOps technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, AWS are a plus but not requiredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
