Part time plant operator @ Kayuta Lake

Ampersand is hiring a part-time plant operator who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance activities of a hydroelectric generating station located in Kayuta Lake, NY.

Duties include routine inspection of the site, operation of the equipment, and required maintenance work. This will be an hourly position requiring approximately 29 hours per week. Hours are flexible but some weekend work will be required on an as-needed basis to verify/monitor the status of the plant. On call status is required.

We are looking for a candidate with:

Experience with rotating machinery

Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electro-mechanical systems

Ability to read schematics

Ability to communicate and work in a collaborative environment

PLC knowledge a plus
