Laborer - Residential Construction

Job Summary

Assistant to Lead Carpenters – providing a helpful-hand in all aspects of McClurg projects. Provides support, and ability to travel to various jobs throughout the day to meet the needs of various requests.

Primary Tasks (include, but are not limited to):

Tasks required depending on the project and time of year include but are not limited to: clean up | sweeping | vacuuming | washing | waxing | ice and snow removal | gutter cleaning | dismantle and demolition | strip and install roofs | insulate | basic carpentry skills | hand excavation | drive with Company trailers | carry lumber and material | mix and pour concrete | insulate | load and deliver cabinet orders to job site | material pick up from suppliers |

Assist Supervisor with: framing | sheetrock | siding | trim | roofing | deck systems | drainage

Job Responsibilities:

-Maintain a clean driving record with a valid drivers license at all times

-Keep accurate records of mileage and destinations for the trips taken in Company trucks

-Company vehicles must be checked prior to each trip. Fluid levels, tires, damage, etc. must all be checked and documented

-All accidents, or damage to the vehicle that you are involved in must be reported to the Lead Carpenter

-All tools, trailers and vehicles must be used properly in accordance with the Company's

Safety Manual

-Hand in all receipts for material picked up to the Accounts Manager at least once per week

-Accurately complete time sheets and mileage sheets on a weekly basis

Education, Experience and Attitude:

- 1-2 years carpentry or residential construction experience

- Upbeat and enthusiastic personality with a positive attitude

-Self-motivated and strong team player
