Math Tutor Para-Educator

Provide remedial instruction in the subjects of math for students attending the Shoshone Learning Center

Qualifications:Two (2) years of college (48 hours) or Associate’s Degree (or higher)Knowledge of math and the ability to teach those subjects to students at the secondary levelDemonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students and staff and follow instructions provided by the teacher and supervisor, team oriented, ability to work in dynamic, diverse settings and a willingness to adapt to specific or new working situationsPrior experience with school-aged children in an educational setting preferredAbility to “think on one’s feet” and problem solve creativelyKnowledge of computers and usage of the Internet

Salary:District Support Services Wage Schedule (2022-23 Base = $15.00/hour, para’s holding BA in education, base = $16.00/hour)This is a non-benefit eligible position

Employment Term: Up to twenty hours per week during the school year (175 student days)
