Lead Database Architect

Description:Direct Hire. Hybrid remote and onsite.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with senior leadership and product development teams to define and develop an Enterprise Data Vision and Strategy
  • Help define the vision, strategy, and principles for data management
  • Support definition, development, and maintenance of an Enterprise Data Roadmap including capability maturity, technology mapping, and technology usage footprint
  • Define standards for physical, naming, governance, managing, modeling, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching, and delivering all data within the enterprise
  • Propose specific integration design
  • Support implementation teams with guidance during implementation
  • Document architecture
  • Support groups with 3rd level support and troubleshooting when required
  • Build and maintain Enterprise Data Standards and Enterprise Data/Information Model
  • Assist with process and policies of the various Enterprise Data Governance Functions and Frameworks, including data security requirements
  • Prepare and support data and analytic research, presentations, whitepapers, business cases, and pilot applications that demonstrate how technology can affect and increase business value
  • Other duties as required

Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in Database development and/or architecture
  • At least 5 years of experience with remedial support for DB2
  • Experience with solution design
  • Experience with DB2 and Postgres databases
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
