Performance Tester - Java Coding Required

- Understand objectives of performance testing and convert them into an appropriate strategy with a plan of action
- Develop test scripts using the chosen performance testing tool/solution with JMeter Tool.
- Execute load tests and provide detailed feedback after analysis
- Keep a close tab on infrastructure and application metrics to identify potential bottlenecks
- Recommend course corrections as per requirements
- Participate in issue-training calls
- Document evolution of performance throughout the engagement
- Develop results reporting formats customised to the audience
- Form collaborations with Development, Functional QA, Infrastructure Engineering (DevOps/SRE) and Security Engineering teams
- Ensure that new and existing product functionality are reliable, stable and defect free
- Design and execute application performance tests for scalability testing, stress testing, load testing and volume testing
- Monitor application logs to review system behaviour with Splunk Tool
- Analyse CPU Utilization, Memory Usage, Network Usage and various reports to verify performance of the product
- Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation for validation and analysis
- Participate in the development and reporting of test metrics; items such as test confidence and test coverage reports
- Review product specifications and provide input on application performance requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in performance testing and engineering
- Hands-on experience with JMeter, Bean shell Scripting, Splunk, etc.,(Mandatory)
- Expertise in test planning, workload design, test environment setup and test data creation
- Experience executing performance testing engagements with minimal or no supervision
- Experience with testing web-based applications and thick client applications
- Understanding of Middleware and Database related Operating System-level metrics (to track down Performance Issues)
- Good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (Preferably AWS) and its performance testing scenarios
- Prior experience with Server and Client OS based technologies, including Linux OS
