Please note: This position requires 100% travel As a member of the Delta Essential Maintenance Provider (EMP) Oversight Team, the Quality Program Manager (QPM) will provide technical and advisory support to the EMP team and the Delta site team in the areas of inspection, quality, airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance. The QPM will coordinate with the EMP on disputed issues pertaining to airworthiness, safety and compliance, and ensure that maintenance performed on Delta aircraft and/or components is accomplished in accordance with all applicable regulations, Delta's approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP), the Delta Technical Operations Policy/Procedures (TOPP) manual and also the EMP supplier's Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM).

Responsibilities: The Quality Program manager is responsible for managing daily activities related to Quality Control and Quality Assurance and advocating corporate objectives; provides assistance to the Manager of Quality Oversight in regard to EMP maintenance activities designed to identify discrepancies and ensure corrective action is effective and compliant; directs all technical and non-technical EMP initiatives in support of maintaining and enhancing the inspection and Quality programs; works closely with Airframe Supplier Operations Site Manager and team. Ensures all Delta, Regulatory Compliance and Safety regulations are followed. Understands and manages the department operating plan and supports improvement to the department business model. Responsible for mentoring and development of positive and effective relationships with EMP personnel, as well as Delta Air Lines site team. Assists in implementation of improvement projects such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S. Supports both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety conscious environment that results in employee safety and well-being in coordination with Supplier Operations. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Power Plant license is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in an Inspection, Quality Control or Quality Assurance position on aircraft and/or aircraft components or 10 years in an Aircraft Maintenance position on aircraft and/or aircraft components is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a passport and all visas as required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, act in a timely manner and handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to any location in support of Delta Air Lines as required by management based on the needs of the department.

  • Must have the ability to improve quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of products and services.
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

  • Supervisory experience.
  • College graduate with a degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with SCEPTRE.
  • Strong analytical skills along with a strong technical background in Delta's maintenance practices, organization, and procedures.
  • Candidates should be highly motivated, self-directed, proactive, and have the ability to work under pressure with time constraints while prioritizing multiple initiatives and tasks.
  • Candidates should possess extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Orders and Notices.
  • Candidates should possess strong and proven leadership experience and skills and the ability to provide an atmosphere in which personnel are self-motivated to perform.
  • Candidates should be able to develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
