Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for an Air Vehicle Integration Systems Engineer to join us as part of our MQ-25 team.The MQ-25 Stingray is a new autonomous, unmanned carrier based refueling air vehicle. The MQ-25 program is currently working the Engineering and Manufacturing Development of 7 flight vehicles and two full-scale test articles for the Navy. In 2021, the MQ-25 test airplane was the first autonomous flying vehicle to refuel a manned aircraft in flight.The Air Vehicle team is responsible for the structural airframe, propulsion, electrical and mechanical systems, and production engineering for the MQ-25. The Air Vehicle Integration team works to integrate across those teams, integrate contributions from several engineering teams, manage the Air Vehicle team processes, and coordinate with the other major teams within MQ-25This role would report the Air Vehicle Integration Manager. The responsibilities would include updating the Air Vehicle teams processes, managing handoffs and integration projects, working on team metrics, and working to ensure requirements and needs are well communicated across the team. This position is located in Berkeley MO.Primary Responsibilities:
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex projects and initiatives in the MQ-25 Air Vehicle team
- Evaluates needs and requirements from other MQ-25 teams and coordinates interfaces with the MQ-25 Air Vehicle team
- Performs various analyses to optimize MQ-25 Air Vehicle processes and tools.
- Creates and monitors metrics for Air Vehicle team performance.
- Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
- Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
- A Bachelors Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field
- 10+ of engineering experience in aerospace field
- Experience with management of large, complex projects
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with Navy customer
- Experience with Jira
- Experience creating metrics
