Job Description for Tech LeadPosition: Technical LeadDuration: Long TermDuration: end of this year 2022, with high probability of extending through 2023Location: Indianapolis 2 to 3 days a week is desired, Open to resource working form elsewhere in the US w/travel to Indianapolis minimally once per quarterThe Tech Lead roles is responsible for overseeing and guiding the integration of data by applying business rules in the confirmed layer of AWS Redshift, then resurfacing that data predominately in tableau and some spaces of Power BI, for end users. A blend of AWS and strong data experience is required as a large portion of work is done through Redshift and ETL integration in different s3 bucket.Responsibilities:• The Tech Lead role overseas and provides guidance for end-to-end data related activities, from picking up data that is mostly in AWS s3 buckets, applying data modeling, data engineering in SQL and Redshift, surfacing that data with business intelligence tool, Tableau.• This is a leadership role governs the process to ensure proper data quality measures are being executed, including guiding and ensuring the development team’s properly application of client’s implementation and coding standards.• A successful candidate will have strong technical Leadership skills for advising and guiding developers by leveraging past technical acumen and the client’s internal business standards to problem solve. Training will be provided on the client’s standards, but the resource should have demonstrated past performance with quickly absorbing and applying technical concepts.Required Skillsets (6+ years of experience)• AWS (Redshift)• Tableau• PL/SQL• Data expertise such Data Analytics, Data Modeling, Data Engineering, and Data Warehousing• Examples of past performance of proving technical guidanceDesired Skillset:• Healthcare/Pharma background is highly desired as the client’s industryExpectation for Tech Lead:• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and problem solving• Challenge the status quo if there are issues, identify and present short- and long-term solutions• Demonstrate high learning agility to understand pharma business needs and translate to technical solutions• Not a development role, rather supporting a team to ensure consistent high quality of work. Ability to be “hand’s on” when required to guide and lead.• Desire to have a resource onsite (downtown Indianapolis) 2 to 3 days a week. Willing to accept working from elsewhere in the US with required travel to Indianapolis at least once per quarter
