NPosition Type ManagementJOB SUMMARYReporting to the VP & Senior Finance Business Partner, Loyalty, Cards and Partnerships, the VP will lead the management and execution of financial support to Co-Brand credit cards in the Loyalty Program, Loyalty partnerships and emerging businesses, including the oversight of program financial health and stability, and enabling the achievement of the programs’ financial goals and objectives. He / She will be the lead financial business partner for these programs in collaboration with the Consumer Operations Finance leadership team, Marriott Business Services (MBS), Global Technology, and the Loyalty Accounting team in the execution of financial and operational business strategies and plans to support the ongoing fiscal needs and responsibilities of the Loyalty Programs.The VP will perform as the lead Finance Business Partner for the Co-Brand credit card programs and Loyalty partnerships, providing financial oversight in the areas of accounting, reporting, financial and operational analysis, strategic planning, contract management and governance. He/She will assist execution of the programs and enhancement of systems and processes that support key objectives to achieve the goals of these programs and add value for the program and the company. He/She will therefore be adept at tapping diverse sources of information, identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges, and executing strategies to deliver against this objective.EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONSLeads the financial management of Co-Brand programs, Loyalty partnerships and emerging businesses, including ongoing program governance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis; ensures accuracy and completeness of financial information, explains trends and/or variances, and develops and implements actionable recommendations, responds to and addresses identified business challenges and opportunities.

Oversees financial transaction processing including required billing processes and collection of accounts receivable and supports accounting for the programs in collaboration with Loyalty Accounting

Oversees quarterly required updates to Co-brand program life-of-contract forecasts in partnership with Loyalty Accounting.

Partners with Financial Contract Compliance and other internal stakeholders to provide ongoing governance and contractual reporting

Oversees the execution of financial proforma models and analyses related to the development and implementation of new programs, services and initiatives for the Co-Brand credit cards, Loyalty partnerships and emerging businesses, while proactively identifying potential risk for management review.

Responsible for the execution and timely submission of the enterprise-wide cash flows and economic budgets, forecasts and long-range planning processes and quarterly business reviews with senior leadership, partnering with Marriott’s Financial Reporting team, Customer Engagement Centers, MBS, Global Finance, and other key organizational stakeholders.

Oversees the execution over annual marketing programs, initiative investments, and promotional point budgets for Co-Brand programs, Loyalty partnerships, and emerging businesses and required governance approval process submissions.

Responsible for the review of new contract agreements and contract modifications/amendments and ensures company compliance with all contractual partner agreements.

Partners with Loyalty Accounting to develop tools, processes, and systems to monitor the programs’ financial control environment; provides leadership for the completion of annual compliance process/procedures; approves outbound contractual wire payments and responds to audit requests.

Leverages data and analytics to support the financial management and strategic plans of the Co-brand program, Loyalty partnerships and emerging businesses.

Leads the completion and delivery of ad-hoc analyses for and/or provides information to and advises, as appropriate, senior leadership, FBP -Loyalty, Consumer Operations, and other stakeholders on the business environment and key operating objectives within the discipline.

Attends required business meetings with key internal and external business stakeholders, representing the Global Finance organization.

Ensures that the team has the necessary capabilities, structure, processes, and work practices in place to support growth of the programs.

Responsible for ensuring the organizational effectiveness of FBP Loyalty by actively seeking to improve processes and optimize workflow.

Effectively communicates relevant, reliable, and timely financial management results.

Addresses problems and issues with actionable solutions and handles change and challenges with clear and appropriate action plans.

Develops and sustains relationships and forms strategic partnerships based on an understanding of customer/stakeholder needs.

CANDIDATE PROFILEMinimum 10 years of accounting and financial management experience in a global organization with increasing management responsibility

Experience leading the financial elements of large-scale Loyalty programs, credit card programs and enterprise partnerships

Exhibits strong leadership and finance knowledge; able to leverage this strength to influence business team strategies and decisions.

Able to present complex models and ideas to senior executives clearly and concisely.

Able to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to translate business needs into operational financial management priorities.

Able to consistently make decisions in a timely manner sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure. Comfortable challenging organizational norms and accepted thinking to improve effectiveness.

Education and Professional CertificationBaccalaureate degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline required

CPA or MBA preferred

The salary range for this position is $152,285 to $284,284 annually.This position requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to the first date of employment, subject to applicable law.
