About this role:The candidate will need to provide the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases. They are expected to handle and lead the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consult extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long term internal and enterprise-level data/ database architecture and management strategies.They would serve as a consultant on technological advancements, provide oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff. They may represent the organization as an external spokesperson.The candidate in this role is responsible for engaging closely with technology teams to understand their needs and model data for transactional and reporting needsRequired Qualifications:4+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners

4+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

4+ years of relational database experience

3+ years of experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets

3+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata

2+ years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning

2+ years of development and implementation experience with applications, databases, or a combination of both

JIRA/Confluence Proficiency

Desired Qualifications:4+ years of experience writing Microsoft SQL Server relational database queries, stored procedures ,query optimization and performance tuning

2+ years of experience with SQL Server database design and administration

2+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map

2+ years of Apache Spark design and development experience using Scala, Java, Python or Data Frames with Resilient Distributed Datasets (RDDs)

1+ years of data security experience

Financial industry experience

Financial reporting experience

Strong technical and quantitative skills

Strong collaboration and partnering skills

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Experience working with large data sets
