Substitute Instructor for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Information for job applicants: Thank you for your interest in working at Victor Learning Center. VLC is a behavior management program for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We have about 140 students who attend our Day Program to improve self-help, language, motor, money, Pre-vocational, and various other daily living skills.

Teachers are not required to have previous training or experience with this type of work, however it would be a plus. We pay for you to get CPR and first aid Certified. We do provide on the job training. You must however, be 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, fluency in English required, clean criminal history, able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical good for a year or more, posses a valid drivers license for at least three years with a clean driving record, be willing to obtain a Passenger endorsement on your drivers license within the first 90 days of employment or as required, be physically able to work at an active pace. You must also be able to maneuver in and out of a lifted van.

Our hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. NO WEEKENDS! You must be available. Our substitutes work 40 hours per week. Our substitutes get 24 hours paid sick leave per year.
