Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role involves various HR duties, including recruiting, owning new hire orientation, managing the employee handbook, and handling employee relations.Your responsibilities in this roleWork with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department
Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Engage with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Compare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures Requirements - Candidates who are highly professional, as well as able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity, will be preferred
Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Full cycle recruiting experience
Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software
Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
