Release Train EngineerAs an RTE you will fully understand the requirement of ART and ensure we provide all support required. In addition, the RTE will manage and optimize the value flow through the Agile Release train by making use of tools including Jira and Jira Align. The RTE will also conduct post planning and pre-planning program increment events. This person will also train the key roles of the Agile Train such as Product Owner, Product Manager, Scrum Master and Release Train Manager.Establish the annual calendar to communicate for every iteration and program increment.

Facilitate PI planning event.

Summarize the team objectives and aligning them towards the Program Objectives and making them available for stakeholders for transparency and visibility.

Tracks feature and capability execution.

Manages risk, escalates barriers, and helps in making an economic decision to roll up to epics.

Coach team members and other stakeholders in SAFe and Agile practices, as needed.

Actively participate in SAFe and Agile Community of Practice.

Help teams establish a DevOps culture and mindset, focusing extensively on the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and associated Agile technical practices.

Ensure teams are within their capacity and WIP limits to help them successfully deliver on their commitments.

Understand risks to plans resulting from dependency conflicts, blockers, and resource constraints, and help drive proactive measures to enable teams to deliver on time.

Utilize TaskTop to identify bottlenecks, WIP, and throughput to guide the optimization of workflows, improve velocity, and better prioritize efforts for more predictable delivery. 

Create Rapid Release calendars at the team level as well as at the Program level.

Create Iterations for a PI for all the teams in Jira.

Protects the teams from outside disruptions to delivery.

Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure the program has a healthy product/program backlog.

Coaches team to adjust project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.

Ensures the team follows standard processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Career Level8ICRequired:5+yrs of Agile experience

3+yrs of Release Train Engineer or Scrum Master experience

Preferred:Agile certification

Jira / Jira Align experience

Industry experience within Technology Retirement preferred

Financial service experience a plus.

Potential Salary: $142,100.00 USDActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
