Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. Candidates who are looking for great career growth potential and a great benefits package will be interested in joining this quickly growing accounting team. Candidates who are able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L will be most fit for this position. The strongest candidates for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position will be self-starters with high attention to detail, ready to handle 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Canton, Ohio area.Major responsibilitiesCompile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP

Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers

Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

Corroborate documents and codes

Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers

Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization Requirements

Knowledgeable of ERP systems

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

High attention to detail

Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of Billing Functions

Solid understanding of billing

Billing Collection experience

Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
