Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half is seeking an organized and efficient Staff Accountant for a client located in the Temperance MI area, who loves working as an integral part of the accounting team. Must be fully vaccinated and able to work onsite. Pay up to $30/hr. Responsibilities of Staff Accountant: Manage and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable

Produce journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

Accounts payable and accounts receivable

Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

Assist with a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision

Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process

Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Staff Accountant role:3+ years of solld experience as a Staff AccounantBachelor’s Degree in accountingComputer skills with Microsoft Windows and Office Professional (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), including knowledge of computer technology in a health care setting.Knowledge of non-profit accounting methods and regulations.
