Robert Half is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. Candidates with excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines will be best fit for this position. This long-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Miami, Florida.Major responsibilitiesManaging accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner
Maintaining knowledge of current federal, state, and local legal requirements, ensuring adherence to them, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
Filing documents to maintain historical records
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll Requirements - A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Previous experience with payroll preferred
High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to multitask effectively
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus
Monthly Account Reconciliation experience highly preferred
Adeptness in Month-end Close Activities
Month end closings experience highly desired
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred
Bank Account Reconciliation experience
General familiarity with Month-end Close Activities
Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings
Practical knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries
Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
Bank reconciliations experience
Earlier work involving Excel Formulas
Background working with Excel Formulas
Account reconciliation experience desired
