Showroom Assistant/Designer

One of Sarasota’s top local Family-Owned Flooring Companies is growing and looking to fill a full time position for a Showroom Assistant/Designer with a competitive salary. Job Description Includes but not limited to:

Working with contractors, installers, builders, designers, and retail customers

Excellent customer service skills, including greeting customers, answering phones promptly, and maintaining a friendly and service-oriented environment

Understanding the importance of first point-of-contact with clients

Product knowledge preferred or a willingness to learn detail products

Entering customer jobs and services into our POS System

Be involved in product selections for the showroom

Willingness to participate in merchandising and sample setups

Build sales by explaining product knowledge to customers and identifying their needs

Available for periodic Saturday showroom hours

Self-motivated and driven to excel

Passionate for developing and maintaining long term customer relationships

Team Player with a drive to attain goals

Familiar with tile and floor covering products

A love for design and working with customers to help them find the right fit for their needs

A knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic software programs

Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)

2 plus years of in person sales and customer service

Strong communication skills

Professionalism required

Physical requirements (Showroom Positions)

Stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms

Walk, stand, bend, or sit

Lift and/or move up to 5-15 pounds.

Routinely set up and takedown of samples and displays from warehouse to showroom and back again

Organize showroom daily

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
