Warehouse Associate (Parkersburg WV)

Multi Terminal Last Mile Carrier in need of a dependable Warehouse Associate Monday thru Friday in Parkersburg WV. Hours 6am to 3pm. Over-Time available when required. Must have verifiable stable work background. Starting wage $12.50 per hour. Wage increase to $13.00 after 90 day introductive period.

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Receive product into the warehouse, stage and store product per company organizational directives, assist in loading trucks and vans, general warehouse cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow established procedures for loading goods.

Verify all loads by BOL description.

Safely and efficiently utilize the warehouse material handling equipment as needed.

Hand-stack product on trailers as needed.

Secure all bulkheads by securing items in vehicles.

Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Utilize dock restraints to secure trailers during the loading process.

Use proper lifting and stacking techniques.

Properly inspect lift truck, and complete the Daily Inspection Checklist.

Adhere to all general and powered equipment safety rules.

Report to work on time.

May assist with other warehouse-related activities as requested by a supervisor.

Responsible for general equipment and warehouse cleaning.

Utilize warehouse processes to minimize damage and other wastes

Occasionally perform Inventory counting.

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be 21 or older

High School diploma

Must meet minimum requirements on pre-employment drug testing and criminal background verification.

Must have clean MVR.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
