R&D Software Engineer / Java

The role is contract to hire, remote, and focuses on Java but will require you to learn new programming languages quickly. Contract Duration: 6 months Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (or equivalent experience) required

• Proficiency of data modeling principles.
• Knowledge of machine learning principles.
• Basic knowledge of multiple programming languages.
• Strong working knowledge of Java.
• Ability to learn and use new programming languages quickly.
• Aptitude for mathematical aspects of computer science.
• Basic knowledge of automated test development.
• Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
• Not just good, but exceptional oral and written communication skills. This is key for training and documentation.

• Be the first point of contact to assist with user issues
• Train users when new tools are rolled out
• Create documentation for new tools or to supplement existing tool documentation
• Assist in quality assurance
• Resolve small technical issues as the need arises
• Continuing to learn new technology developments
• Team Collaboration
