    • The

      / Data Analyst

      (Crisis Mental Health Services) will be working as part of a small team working to create a statewide framework for

      crisis mental health services.
    • Experience in

      Mental Health, Social Work or Community Policing are strongly preferred.
    • Graduate degree in

      Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work or Criminal Justice.
    • Ability to analyze and

      interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
    • Ability to analyze and

      interpret policies, procedures, and regulations relating to Crisis Intervention Services.
    • Knowledge of the

      principles and methods of Data Collection and Analysis.
    • Proficiency in

      Excel and other Data Analysis tools.
    • Establish and maintain effective

      working relationships with OMHSAS staff, county staff, and other stakeholders.
    • Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain

      Data Results and Analyses to multiple audiences.
    • Collect, analyze, and present CAA and ARPA

      project and program data and outcomes.
    • Review data methodology and provide recommendations on improvements.
    • Develop strategies for knowledge management and information sharing.
    • Assist counties with

      collecting and reporting program data.
    • Assist OMHSAS staff in the development of federal reporting.
    • Actively communicate with counties and project coordinators on relevant findings.
    • Develop parameters and data points for new analyses.
    • Compare historical and baseline data to active data reporting, and draw meaningful conclusions about program and project performance, goals, and outcomes.
    • Prepares presentation materials regarding results of

      data analyses for OMHSAS staff presentations to stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or supervision.
    • Understanding of best practices for

      project management, knowledge management, and documentation.
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

      / Data Analyst serves as the Community Mental Health Services Block Grant (CMHSBG) project coordinator for Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
    • This includes

      collecting, monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing program information and quality outcomes that are identified and generated through COVID-specific supplemental CAA and ARPA CMHSBG funding (totaling over $75M), in the Division of Planning and Program Development, Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Program Development (BPPPD) within OMHSAS.
    • This

      / Data Analyst reports to OMHSAS staff and entails highly independent professional work that involves the

      coordination, collection and monitoring of various state-level program and quality outcomes primarily related

      to the implementation and expansion of crisis intervention services.
    • The incumbent must be able to

      work on multiple projects simultaneously with 46 projects funded through the CAA opportunity ($27M) and potential for up to 100 additional projects with ARPA funds ($48M).
    • The incumbent will support OMHSAS staff during? statewide and national planning initiatives and federal reporting.

      / Data Analyst will be responsible for collection of program information and analysis and communication of the results for the supplemental COVID funding received by the state.
    • The

      / Data Analyst work with staff from other BPPPD sections, management systems and information technology (IT), other DHS program offices and OMHSAS Bureaus, as well as counties, joinders, subrecipients, and other stakeholders in the planning, negotiation, allocation, and reporting of block grant impacts, outcomes, and priorities.
    • The

      program-specific information, including developing analysis and data collection processes in

      Behavioral Health Systems to effectively communicate and collaborate with systems team members for reaching meaningful and data informed conclusions.

      / Data Analyst should have the ability to analyze and interpret program and fiscal data, policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • The

      / Data Analyst should be able to

      develop sound data methodology and consult on data collection and analysis as well as

      develop communication for the results and recommendations of data analysis in a targeted manner to a variety of audiences including? DHS Executive Staff, Federal Government Agencies, Local Government Officials, and members of the public.

      / Data Analyst should be able to develop strong working relationships with county project managers to facilitate the project analysis.
