Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a Boeing Research and Technology (BR&T) Manufacturing Technology Integration - Commercial (MTI-C) Manager to join our team in Everett, Washington or North Charleston, South Carolina.This role will be responsible for leading the materials and processes integration team in order to improve quality and safety, reduce flow and cost and, support compliance across BCA (Boeing Commercial Airplanes).BR&T MTI-C provides technology integration to translate and integrate cutting edge R&D (research & development) and materials science into BCA. We are looking for engineering managers with experience and aptitude to lead and manage several technical disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical competency in the wide range of M&P disciplines, expertise in managing and maintaining functional disciplines and infrastructure, and team leadership.Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines
  • Manages multi-model funding portfolio for Manufacturing & Safety (6K) and Engineering (6Y)
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team
  • 2+ years of production, engineering, or research and development experience in materials, processes, fabrication, and/or supply chain
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross functional teams for different business organizations
  • Experience working with Material & Process Engineering
  • Functional engineering experience
