Develops, manages and executes, in conjunction with Government Affairs leadership, strategies associated with the organization's federal, state and/or local governmental matters, including regulatory compliance objectives.

Develops, in conjunction with the Government Affairs leadership, legislative and communications strategies to advocate policy goals before federal, state and/or local governments.

Analyzes legislative and regulatory activities. Determines the potential impact on the organization and develops and directs company positions. Builds coalitions and engages enterprise managers and senior leaders as necessary.

Develops relationships with governmental entities, professional associations, academic institutions and personnel to advance the interests of the corporation and the industry.

Represents the company with government entities; provides management with reports and recommendations.

Work ExperienceRoles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
