Shop Assistant - General Light duty Labor (NLR, Crystal Hill area)

I'm looking for general help a couple days per week. Typically, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. I would consider changing days or hours depending on your situation. Generally, from 5:30 for 3 hours +/- until 8:30. General labor, shop organization, car wash, pick up the grounds etc

I need you to be reliable and your work effort is neat and consistent - and you are Arkansas employment eligible, i'll consider you. male or female. it is a shop environment, you'll be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, and water etc

This is a good position for a student or a retired person. You'll earn good exposure and be in a safe environment.

We can work on your skills - i just need effort.

Shop Assistant Job Summary - This is an entry level position where you will assist with a variety of tasks, while learning the basics of how to operate equipment and machinery. Ideally, you are willing to learn new skills, enjoy working with your hands, and willing to teach me a few things, too.

Shop Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks

Load and unload delivery trucks & trailers

Stock raw materials in appropriate quantities

Clean and maintain equipment as directed

Make sure we have the tools necessary to complete assigned tasks

Possibly Operate equipment such as band saw, table saw, cut off saw, belt sander, drill press, disc grinder, punch press

Utilize measuring instruments including calipers, height gauges, and micrometers

Shop Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

Prefer experience in manufacturing or shop work, including metal or wood shop classes

Aptitude for mechanics

Familiarity with hand tools

Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks

Solid communication skills

Exceptional hand-eye coordination

Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 70 pounds
