Remote C Algorithm Development Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing medical device company in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a Remote C Software Algorithm Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. This company offers competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, etc. This position is 100% Remote. They will be focused on developing and optimizing signal processing algorithms. They will be working with computational modules to extract and decipher complex cardiac signals and other related physiological parameters. This set of inputs are measured over a 3D space and as such leads to 3D reconstruction of information, similar to imaging systems like CT, ultrasound. The effort in the project involves the need to create a highly efficient solution within a high-end computing environment. You will work along scientists and lead the effort in all relevant areas of algorithm development within the system.Responsibilities: Implement and develop Signal processing algorithms or other computational algorithms to process high throughput data in a multi-threaded environment Data transport module to transmit data from/to multiple hardware systems Participate in discussion with System Engineer and Algorithm Engineer on algorithm developments The application is intended to be developed in a windows environment Implementation of Signal processing algorithms or other computational algorithms to process high throughput data in a multi-threaded environment Data transport module to transmit data from/to multiple hardware systems Assist with developing sensor devices and corresponding technology from the perspective of signal and algorithm needs Configuration management, deployment of software, etc.REQUIREMENTS: MS or PH.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, with 8-10 years of experience 4-5 years with Master's or 1-2 years with a PHD experience in algorithm development and optimization in C Experience in the Medical Device industry is a plus but not required Experience deploying software to the field Multi-Threaded programming experience in C Understanding of C/ STL/CLI is preferred Solid understand of fundamental mathematical concepts, such as Linear Algebra Self-starter, able to lead an effort and work independently with certain level of guidance Good communicator, able to lead discussion, conduct brainstorming and reach agreement despite differencesNice to haves: Previous experience on digital filtering and code performance optimization will be a big plus Experience with MATLAB or Python is a plus Experience with C 11 or higher is a plus Experience taking products through FDA 60601 is a plus but not required Experience working with C#, WPF are plusses but not required Experience in developing a medical software and submitting for FDA approval a plus but not requiredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
